Everland Korea Guide 2026: Best Rides, Panda World, Safari, Tickets & How to Get There from Seoul
After living in Seoul for more than 30 years, I've visited many travel destinations and amusement parks across Korea. But whenever my friends and I decide to spend an entire day having fun, Everland is usually the first place that comes to mind.
Although I don't visit every month, I try to go whenever the seasons change or a new festival begins. Spring brings millions of colorful tulips, summer features exciting water festivals, autumn transforms the park into a Halloween wonderland, and winter lights up with spectacular Christmas decorations. Every visit feels completely different.
I've also taken several international friends there, and they all had the same reaction:
"I had no idea Korea had a theme park this big!"
In recent years, Everland has become even more famous worldwide thanks to its beloved giant panda family, making it one of the most popular attractions for international visitors.
If you're planning your first visit, here's everything you need to know—from transportation and ticket prices to the best rides, Panda World, Safari World, recommended itinerary, and estimated budget.
What Is Everland?
Located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, Everland is the largest theme park in South Korea.
It's much more than an amusement park. The resort combines thrilling rides, animal attractions, seasonal flower festivals, live performances, parades, and beautiful gardens, making it an ideal destination for families, couples, and solo travelers alike.
Whether you're traveling with children or simply looking for an unforgettable day trip from Seoul, Everland offers something for everyone.

Best Rides at Everland
T Express
If there's one attraction you absolutely shouldn't miss, it's T Express.
This famous wooden roller coaster is consistently ranked among the world's best and is always the first ride my friends and I check after entering the park.
Rating: ★★★★★
Typical wait time: 60–120 minutes on weekends
Arriving early can save you a significant amount of waiting time.
Amazon Express
This exciting river rafting attraction is perfect during Korea's hot and humid summers.
Expect plenty of splashes—and don't be surprised if you get soaked.

Thunder Falls
Another popular water attraction featuring a dramatic splash at the end.
It's one of the best rides to cool off during the summer season.
Hurricane
If you enjoy high-thrill attractions, Hurricane delivers plenty of spins and excitement with its 360-degree rotating motion.
Why Everland Is More Than Just a Theme Park
Many visitors come for the roller coasters, but personally, I think Everland's wildlife attractions make it truly unique.
Safari World
Safari World allows visitors to board a special bus that travels through habitats where lions, tigers, and bears roam freely.
When I brought foreign friends here, this became one of their favorite experiences.
Duration: Around 20 minutes
Additional fee: None (included with admission)
Lost Valley
Lost Valley offers a different kind of safari experience aboard an amphibious vehicle.
Animals you may encounter include:
Giraffes
Elephants
Zebras
Rhinoceroses
It's especially popular with families traveling with children.
Panda World
One of Everland's biggest attractions today is Panda World, Korea's first dedicated panda exhibit.
The popularity of the panda family—especially the globally loved Fu Bao—has introduced Everland to visitors from around the world.
Even today, Panda World remains one of the busiest areas in the park.
Several of my international friends were surprised to discover they could see giant pandas during their trip to Korea.
Tips for Visiting Panda World
Visit as early as possible.
Weekend queues can become very long.
Check the Everland app for viewing schedules and operating updates before arriving.
If you love animals, I strongly recommend combining Panda World with Safari World and Lost Valley.

Spring – Tulip Festival
Millions of colorful tulips transform the park into one of Korea's most beautiful spring destinations.
Summer – Water Festival
Expect refreshing performances, water shows, and attractions designed to beat the summer heat.
Autumn – Halloween Festival

The entire park is decorated with Halloween-themed displays, haunted attractions, and evening entertainment.

Thousands of lights, holiday decorations, and nighttime illuminations create a magical winter atmosphere that's perfect for photography.

Final Thoughts
After living in Seoul for decades, I've realized that I don't return to Everland just for the rides.
Every visit offers something different—seasonal festivals, beautiful gardens, wildlife experiences, giant pandas, colorful parades, and spectacular evening lights all combine to create a full-day adventure.
If your itinerary includes enough time for a day trip outside Seoul, Everland is one of the destinations I recommend most often to international friends.
Personally, I think the Spring Tulip Festival and the Halloween Festival are the best times to visit because the atmosphere changes completely with the seasons.
And if you're an animal lover, don't miss Safari World, Lost Valley, and Panda World. They offer experiences that make Everland stand out from many other theme parks around the world.
